Larne Ladies Football Club was originally formed in November
2004, when a group of parents where watching a local junior boys
club playing and decided that they would like to get a ladies team
formed locally.
After some research it was established that the NiWFA
(Northern Ireland Womans Football Association) were affiliated to
the IFA and it was decided that a team would be formed and entered
into the local league. Adverts where then placed into the local
newspaper's, that training had now started and gradually over a
couple of months the team was formed.
A committe was set up and a Club Constitution was put into
place.

The first season for Larne Ladies F.C. was in 2005. Over the
first season the Management Team and Committee members changed
several times, but by pre-season of 2006 the club was built on
solid foundations with a strong committee and a dedicated
management team.
The club has continued to grow from strength to strength and
now, as well as a senior team, has a junior team at U14 level and
over 40 members in the club. The club also has great support from
local businesses in sponsorship and would like to thank those
sponsors for their on-going support.
